Mystic Krewe of Comus Ball, 1903
Theme: A Leaf From the Mahabarata

The Mahabarata (more commonly, 'Mahabharata') is a Sanskrit itihasa or book of legend. Written by Vyasa, it is the epic tale of a quarrel between the Pandavas and the Kauravas that culminated in a terrible fratricidal war.

Special guests at the 1903 Mistick Krewe of Comus ball were Admiral Winfield Scott Schley, Confederate General Joe Wheeler, and Alice Roosevelt, daughter of the President.
