Howard-Tilton
Memorial Librarys annual library book sale will be held November
12-14, 2004, in Jones Hall.
Eagerly anticipated as a source of often hard-to-find books, the
library's annual Fall book sale helps raise much needed collection
development funds for the library while making available books to
the general public at extremely low prices.
Subjects
run the gamut from architecture to zoology. Prices will be $5 for a
hardback, $2 for paperbacks, and $1 for pocket books and phonograph
records. Prices are reduced 50% each day. As a result, the Sunday
prices will be $1.25 for a hardback, $0.50 for a paperback and $0.25
for pocket books and records. There is also a small section of
better, higher priced works.
The
librarys annual book sale is a favorite with local dealers, so
come early for the best books. Times are Nov 12,
noon
to
6:00
; Nov 13,
10:00 to 5:00
; and Nov 14,
noon
to
5:00
.
The
book sale will take place on the first floor of Joseph Merrick Jones
Hall (
6801 Freret Street
, across the street from the main library). For more information
call Special Collections at (504) 865-5685.
