Swiss Society of New Orleans records, 1855-2010 | Louisiana Research Collection

Scope and Contents: This collection consists of by-laws, annual reports, histories, membership applications and lists, correspondence, announcements, invitations, bulletins, clippings, photographs, mailed post cards, handwritten and typed journals, financial records, and other records of the Swiss Society of New Orleans.  This collection contains primarily material from the 1890s as well as 1970s and 1980s.  A 1968 pamphlet, titled Burials in the Tomb of the Swiss-American Society of New Orleans, includes the planning records of the Swiss Tomb Committee and includes names of persons interred in the tomb, located in the Greenwood Cemetery.
