Biographical Note

The de la Villesbret family is related to several other families, including the Cormier du Médic, Gourel de St. Pern, Le Gris du Clos, Genu do la Bordière, de Mezerac, de Blois de la Calande, Boudin de Longpré, de la Moussaye, Kerbusso, and O'Brien families.  Members of the family were landowners and active in the French Army and Navy before and after the French Revolution.
