This collection contains the personal papers of Stanhope Bayne-Jones from 1911-1970 and covers the following aspects of his life: Yale College and family correspondence; medical papers concerning his professional life; and military papers.
Biographical Note: General Stanhope Bayne-Jones, M.D., was a bacteriologist, a pioneer in the field of public health, Brigadier General, and a medical administrator for the U.S. military. He was the son of Dr. Stanhope Jones, and grandson of Joseph Jones. After the death of his father, his name was changed to Bayne-Jones.
