Volume 1: Upton and the Army, 1964

This book, "Upton and the Army," written by Stephen E. Ambrose, is about Emory Upton, a Civil War soldier who died in 1881. The book contains an Upton family tree. The book also contains a few newspaper clippings on the Upton family.

This diary is dated from August 1868 to April 1869, with daily entries. Many entries are in regards to Eldon's newspaper, the "Weekly Record," and his job as a deliverer. The end of the diary contains a list of his accounts.
