Historical Note: Carol Dreyfous Eiseman is the daughter of Felix Julius Dreyfous and Vera Scherck. She has one brother, F. John Dreyfous. Vera Scherck Dreyfous was the only daughter of Lewis A. Scherck and Nan Burkenroad. The Scherck and Dreyfous families are Jewish families based in New Orleans. Other families that are related to these two families include: Abrahams, Alcus, Burkenroad, Hart, Marks, Rouef, and Schwabacher.
