Historical Note: Edgar Albert Perilloux (1895-1969) of New Orleans, La., was a son of Louis Ernest Perilloux and Barbara Sharp Perilloux.  He worked as an insurance executive, and was active in civic, social, and charitable organizations.  He was married twice, and had four children.  Edgar A. Perilloux was interested in local history, participated in the Carrollton Carnival Club,  and was a member of the Carrollton Business Men's Association, serving as its president in 1948.  He authored Carrollton centennial, 1845-1945, and worked to organize the observation of the centennial.  Carrollton, La., was incorporated by the state legislature in 1845, became a city in 1856, and was annexed to the City of New Orleans in 1874.
