Name: Carpenter family.

Historical Note: The Carpenter-Turley family came together with the marriage of Edna Carpenter (1872- ), daughter of James M. Turley (1816-1833), to Shawnee Thomas Carpenter (1874-1940). The Turley and Carpenter families originated from Tennessee and Texas, but the people specified above lived a life centered around Travis County, Texas in a farm community.
