Name: Bouny family.

Historical Note: The Pierre Sidney Sanchez and the widow of Pierre Godefroy Bouny made many property transactions and purchases of slaves in the New Orleans area during the mid nineteenth century. The donor of the Bouny-Sanchez family papers is the granddaughter of Pierre Sidney Sanchez. The donor's parents were Louise Sanchez (daughter of Pierre Sidney Sanchez) and Albert Moreno.
