Historical Note: A farm journal was used three different times by three different overseers. The farm was probably located on the Pascagoula River near the Gulf Coast. The first user of the journal was Plier Dubuisson between 1782-1793 as an account book with listings of goods bought and prices for each account. Many of the bills were signed by Dubuisson. The second person to use the journal was Sidoine Pichon between 1845 and 1846 as a day book with a schedule of chores and work contracts of slaves. The last use was also as a day book in 1866 by an unknown farmer who also worked outfitting boats and by 1867 he used the book for his hauling accounts as he transported bricks and goods by boat.
