Name: Trible family.


Historical Note: The compiler, John Metcalf Trible, was Captain, Medical Corps, U.S. Army, in command of the 27th Field Hospital, of the Third Division Sanitary Train, Third Infantry Division, Regular of the American Expeditionary Force, and Army of Occupation in Germany, 1918-1919. He was married to Ottie Belle Bowles in 1912, and father of John Bowles Trible. Captain John Trible (1822-1863), was native of Devonshire, England; emigrated to New York, 1836; moved to Illinois and studied law; married Anna James. He died in the battle of Arkansas Post, January 1863. His son, Kent, was born on the day of his funeral.
