Historical Note: Emile A. Rainold, Jr. (d. 1973) was a New Orleans sugar broker and photography enthusiast. He was born in New Orleans and attended Rugby High School and Tulane University. Rainold served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. For most of his career, he worked at the E.A. Rainold, Incorporated, sugar brokerage, but for the last ten years of his life, he concentrated on his hobby, photography. Rainold was also active in the Pickwick Club and several Carnival organizations. He was married to Theresa Gonsoulin Rainold and had a son, Emile A. Rainold III.
