Harry Brunswick Loëb papers, 1911-1956 | Louisiana Research Collection

Scope and Contents: The collection consists of correspondence, poems, manuscripts, plays, operas, photographs, and sheet music of many of Loëb's songs. There is a play by Loëb and Bernold Szold based on the life of Sarah Bernhardt entitled The Divine Scarecrow, as well as other plays by Loëb, including Four Episodes in the Life of Beethoven, The Lady Who Knew, A Silk Dress, Three Episodes in the Life of Adrienne Lecouvreur, and Three Episodes in the Life of Rachel.  Also included is information about the New Orleans French Opera and opera in New Orleans.
