Grossman and Myers families papers, 1897-1995 | Louisiana Research Collection

Scope and Contents: The collection consists of family papers, genealogies, correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, political papers, essays, poems, scripts, certificates, legal documents, and financial papers belonging or relating to Joel Grossman Myers or her husband, Bert Myers. Included in the collection are World War II letters from Joel Grossman Myers' father, Louis Eugene Grossman and her letters to him as well as other papers relating to the lives of ancestors, including Simon Abraham and Emile Kahn. There are genealogies of the Grossman, Dreyfus, Kahn, Abraham, and Myers families. Her master's thesis at Tulane, entitled "A Reputational Study of Women Leaders in New Orleans" is also included.
