Scope and Contents: The collection consists of the Report of the Committee on Emancipation (of slavery) to the President and members of the Convention for the Revision and Amendment of the Constitution of Louisiana. Maximilian Ferdinand Bonzano was the chairman of the Committee on Emancipation. The collection also includes two copies of the Minority Report of the Committee on Emancipation submitted by Edmund Abell (one copy has added handwritten commentary).
