Scope and Contents: This contains the copy of a paper titled "The Charbonnets in the New World," presented by Michael Dean and Wilfred Hellmers Charbonnet. The paper was presented to the Third Creole Family Symposium on October 5, 2002. The paper documents the research carried out by Wilfred Hellmers Charbonnet on the Charbonnet family, and in particular, the double wedding of two Charbonnet brothers in Natchitoches in 1768.
