The collection consists of poems, correspondence, newspapers clippings, certificates, and diplomas of Dr. Richard Ray Kirk, author, poet, and former professor of English literature at Tulane University. There are also poems by Kirk with color illustrations by Helen Hamilton and Angela Gregory.

Biographical Note

Dr. Richard Ray Kirk (1877-1951) was an author, poet, and former professor of English literature at Tulane University. He was educated at the University of Michigan and died in Michigan in 1951. He is the author of Little dust, and other poems as well as An introduction to the study of poetry.
