Historical Note: The Dreyfous family of this collection descends from Emanuel Dreyfous of Belfort, France. Abel Dreyfous and Felix J. Dreyfous had a notarial office located at 21 Exchange Place, New Orleans. Felix J. Dreyfous, an attorney, served as a representative to the Louisiana State Legislature from 1888 to 1892.
