Name: Meullion, Jean Baptiste.
Historical Note: Jean Baptiste Meullion (d. circa 1841) was a free man of color who was a sugar and cotton planter in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. Among the merchants that he worked with were Toledano and Gaillard, Louallier Brothers, Miramond O'Duhigg Company, Follain Fux and A. Vincent Rillieux.
