Name: Appleby, John, b. 1822.

Historical Note: John Appleby (b. 1822) was the brother of Charles Edgar Appleby (1824-1913), a real estate investor during the last half of the nineteenth century. Aaron Remsen Appleby (1838-1886), was the Appleby brothers' first cousin. Remsen Appleby's father was Leonard Appleby (1798-1879), their paternal uncle.
