Brief Description: The Herman Arthur Metzger papers include Metzger's business and personal correspondence while he was a petroleum executive in South America from 1924-1954. During that time he worked for the Tropical Oil Company in Colombia (1924-1936) and Standard Oil of New Jersey's Argentine affiliate (1944-1954). From 1954-1962, he worked for Creole Oil in New York. The collection also consists of memoranda, financial records, and production accounts.
