Brief Description: The collection consists of correspondence, birth certificates, obituaries, newspaper clippings, photographs, and ephemera belonging to the Pritchett and Larose families. Much of the correspondence is between Reverend Edgar Herndon Pritchett and his wife Jennie and Augustin Larose and his wife Amelie. Included in the photographs are a glass color portrait and an ambrotype of Augustin Larose. The family ephemera includes Civil War material; a political broadside for William H. Harrison, Jennie Pritchett's father; and memorabilia of the actor Frederick Warde.

Biographical Note for Pritchett family. : Reverend Edgar Herndon Pritchett was a Methodist minister and was married to Jennie Harrison. Her father was William Henry Harrison (not the president) and son of Robert Harrison II. He ran for a seat in the Virginia Legislature in 1847. Augustin Larose was married to Amelie Larose.
