Biographical Note for Twyman, Henry. : Henry Twyman, who was born in Virginia, was enlisted in the G company of the 92nd Infantry of the U.S. Colored Infantry as a private at the time of his discharge. Twyman had enlisted in the US Army in September 1863. The 92nd Infantry was organized in New Orleans on October 24, 1863. There was a total of 1069 men enlisted with the infantry. The men served in Louisiana and Mississippi, including during the Red River campaign. The Infantry mustered out December 31, 1865.
