Scope and Contents of the Materials

The collection is made up of the personal and professional papers of Ray J. Haddad (1931-1990), who was the Lee C. Schlesinger Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane University. He was also the founder of the Tulane Division of Sports Medicine. A prolific writer, Haddad published over seventy articles in medical journals and books, many of which are represented in the collection. In addition, there are numerous letters of recommendation as well as papers relating to his active role in professional organizations.

Biographical Note
