Scope and Contents of the Materials

The collection consists of family papers collected by Joseph Emile Ducros (1871-1946) and includes correspondence, biographies, clippings, photographs, certificates, genealogical material, and greeting cards. There are letters from Ducros' brothers Fernet (Bob) and delaRonde (Del) in Nicaragua, China, and the Philippines, and stateside, with detailed descriptions. There are also papers of families related to the Ducros family, including, the Patton, Leininger, and Brinkmann families.

Biographical Note

Joseph Emile Ducros (1871-1946) was a historian and genealogist who collected the family papers. His brother Fernet (Bob) worked in mining, timber, and engineering in many parts of the world, including China and the Philippines. His brother delaRonde (Del) was an attorney, merchant and judge in Nicaragua. Families related to the Ducros family include the Patton, Leininger, and Brinkmann families. Coralie Guarino Davis is the granddaughter of Joseph Emile Ducros.
