Name: Page, John

Historical Note: John Page immigrated to the United States from England, presumably in the 1830s, and became the Superintendent of Lafayette Asylum for the Relief of Destitute Boys in New Orleans. He kept records of his work in the asylum from 1836-1849. Page also took part in the Lafayette Temperance Society, and kept accounts of the organization's activities while he was involved with it.
